Ultra Plus : Contains lidocaine for improved comfort and is also used for dramatic lip augmentation. It is also used in the nasolabial folds. Slightly thicker than Ultra, it has a few more uses and sometimes is used in the cheeks or chin. It is versatile and great for volume loss and facial wrinkles. Juvederm Ultra Plus also lasts around six months, though can last longer in some places and individuals.

Voluma : Among the longest lasting hyaluronic acid option, Voluma is typically used in the chin or cheeks. It can last up to two years. Out of all hyaluronic acid fillers, it is often considered the one that lasts the longest.

Description :

Juvederm Bellevue & Kirkland

Dermal filler injections are among the most popular cosmetic procedures in the United States with over a million injections performed every year. Within the dermal filler category, hyaluronic acid fillers are by far the most popular due to their good safety profile and versatility. Two filler manufacturers offer hyaluronic acid fillers–Restylane and Juvederm. Both are about equal in usage and most providers offer both. Northwest Face & Body offers the best Juvederm Bellevue and Kirkland provides.

The Lowdown On Juvederm

Juvederm is a type of cosmetic injectable known as a dermal filler. It is injected for two main purposes: to fill hollows and wrinkles or to augment areas of the face. Primarily used on the face, dermal fillers like Juvederm are among the top non-surgical procedures for anti-aging. With millions of filler injections performed every year, it is an extremely popular and versatile tool for looking younger and achieving your ideal facial aesthetic.

Within facial fillers, some subcategories refer to what the filler is made out of. Juvederm belongs to the largest and most used classification: hyaluronic acid fillers. This means that Juvederm is lower risk than semi-permanent fillers and can treat more places such as the lips.

The master injectors at Northwest Face & Body are masters at using Juvederm to artfully augment and fill in facial features. Northwest Face & Body provides the best Juvederm Bellevue and Kirkland offers.

The Lowdown On Juvederm

Juvederm has many applications across the face. Some of the areas Juvederm can treat include:

Patients can usually treat multiple areas at once. Juvederm also pairs well with neurotoxin treatment such as BOTOX or Dysport. Your master injector will discuss which areas you are a candidate for treatment and the best Juvederm filler for each area.

Advantages Of Hyaluronic Acid Based Fillers

Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in the body, the largest concentrations of which are in the eyes and joints. Therefore, while rejection or allergy to the filler is possible, it is highly unlikely. Another major benefit of hyaluronic acid filler is that they have a natural reversal agent, hyaluronidase.

When injected, it breaks up the filler. If you experience major side effects or complications or end up unhappy with your new look, there is an easy antidote. This also increases the safety of hyaluronic acid fillers when compared with other types of fillers. If occlusion (the injection of filler into a blood vessel) or an adverse event occurs, it can be immediately addressed in the office.

While it may not seem like an advantage at first, the temporary nature of hyaluronic acid fillers allows patients to stop treatments whenever they want, try out various filler options, and try out different looks each time. This experimentation allows patients to find the exactly right filler option and technique for them.

Types Of Juvederm Filler

Juvederm makes a few different fillers that each have a slightly varied consistency and tend to be used in different areas. The main Juvederm offerings are Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, and Juvederm Voluma. Your master injector can discuss each option with you in detail and help determine which is best for the area you are treating and your goals.

  • Ultra: Normally used as a lip filler, Juvederm Ultra can also treat the nasolabial folds. Typically, Ultra is considered among the thinnest of Juvederm's fillers. It lasts on average around three to six months.
  • Ultra Plus: Contains lidocaine for improved comfort and is also used for dramatic lip augmentation.
  • Voluma: Among the longest lasting hyaluronic acid option, Voluma is typically used in the chin or cheeks. It can last up to two years. Out of all hyaluronic acid fillers, it is often considered the one that lasts the longest.

Before & After Juvederm Injections In Bellevue

Consultation

The first step for undergoing Juvederm filler injections in Bellevue is to attend a consultation with a master injector. At this appointment, your master injector will ask you about your goals, medical history, history with fillers, and lifestyle. They may also briefly examine the area to evaluate the skin quality, thickness, and other factors that influence the filler choice and process.

If they believe you are a good candidate for your chosen procedure, they will discuss the many fillers you have to choose from. In some cases, you may undergo filler injections the same day. Otherwise, you can schedule your appointment at your convenience or before leaving the office.

Injection Process

First, your master injector will prep the injection sites. This involves disinfecting the areas with alcohol and cleansing them of any makeup or environmental debris. After this, they will likely apply topical numbing cream. This will sit for around ten to twenty minutes. During this time, your injector will prepare the Juvederm.

Your master injector will then begin the filler injections. Depending on the treatment, they may use a needle or cannula. If using a needle, they will start injections immediately. With a cannula, they will make a small entry point for the cannula using a small needle. After inserting the needle or cannula they will slowly inject the filler. They may move the needle within the injection point or inject at multiple sites to add volume evenly for the ideal results.

For most areas, the injections themselves do not take longer than about ten to fifteen minutes. You can have multiple areas treated at the same time. Along with the topical numbing cream, the Juvederm contains a small amount of lidocaine to help ease the filler as it is injected.

Aftercare

In the days following the injections, you may notice some common side effects such as:

  • Swelling
  • Bruising
  • Redness
  • Discomfort
  • Itchiness
  • Lumps

For the most part, these side effects should clear up in a week or two. For a day or two following Juvederm injections, your master injector may recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and certain blood-thinning medications and supplements.

Your filler will continue to settle for about two weeks. If you still notice lumps, unevenness, or the result does not fit your goals after two weeks, our master injectors can perform a quick touch up.

Breast Augmentation: Gummy Bear

It is estimated that as many as one in 26 women have breast implants. The popularity of breast augmentation surgery continues to increase every year. This allows plastic surgeons and manufacturers to continually innovate breast implants and surgical techniques to better serve patients. One of these innovations is the newest generation of silicone breast implants known as gummy bear breast implants. Gummy bear breast implants are designed to provide some of the most natural looking and feeling results currently available. Northwest Face & Body performs the best gummy bear breast augmentation Bellevue and Kirkland offers.

What Is Gummy Bear Breast Augmentation?

Gummy bear breast augmentation uses gummy bear breast implants to augment the breasts. Like other breast implants, plastic surgeons surgically implant gummy bear breast implants to provide fuller breasts. Breast augmentation can achieve a variety of goals like increasing cleavage, a slight lift, and rounder breasts.

Gummy bear breast implants have become one of the highest standards for breast augmentation in Bellevue. Among the newest generation of breast implants, many women choose and prefer the results of gummy bear implants.

What Makes Gummy Bear Breast Implants Different?

Gummy bear breast implants are part of the fifth generation of breast implants. They are a type of silicone gel implant that uses a thicker and more cohesive gel. Traditional silicone breast implants are filled with a silicone gel that feels similar to gelatin. This makes them soft and malleable which is often a desired trait for breast implants. Gummy bear implants feel similar to a gummy bear candy, combining softness and malleableness, with a firm consistency.

This thicker gel offers many benefits and advantages that other silicone implants do not. For example, gummy bear implants typically shift less than silicone breast implants. This makes them less likely to become malpositioned. Overall, gummy bear breast implants have a lower complication rate than other breast implants.

Benefits Of Gummy Bear Implants

Gummy bear breast implants come with many benefits for Bellevue breast augmentation patients. Along with those mentioned earlier, benefits of gummy bear breast implants include:

Understanding The Process Of Gummy Bear Breast Augmentation In Bellevue

Undergoing a gummy bear breast augmentation in Bellevue takes time and research. Finding a plastic surgeon who provides results you like, choosing the right type of breast implant, and working out the specifics of your surgery can be overwhelming. At Northwest Face & Body, our dedicated team use cutting edge technology and refined expertise to make your Bellevue breast augmentation experience seamless.

Consultation With A Bellevue Plastic Surgeon

The first step in gummy bear breast augmentation is to consult with a Bellevue plastic surgeon at Northwest Face & Body. Your plastic surgeon will lead a discussion with you to understand your goals for breast augmentation. They will also want to garner a good idea of your medical history.

Following this conversation, your plastic surgeon will physically examine your breasts and nearby anatomy. Based on your anatomy, your Bellevue plastic surgeon will be better able to recommend the right implant for your breast augmentation surgery. Finally, using Vectra 3D imaging, your plastic surgeon will take a scan of your body. The Vectra 3D imaging will then create a 3D replica of your anatomy.

Using this 3D model, your plastic surgeon can cycle through various breast implant types and sizes. This makes it easier to visualize your results and choose the gummy bear breast implant that will best meet your goals.

Finally, before leaving the Northwest Face & Body office, you will receive a customized price quote for your procedure. A surgical coordinator will then follow up with you to provide more information and financing options.

Gummy Bear Breast Augmentation Surgery

If you choose to proceed with your gummy bear breast augmentation in Bellevue, you will attend a pre-operative appointment. At this appointment, you will receive instructions on how to prepare for your surgery.

On the day of surgery, your plastic surgeon will make markings and discuss the specifics of surgery with you again. After you are cleared for surgery, a licensed anesthesia provider will place you under general anesthesia.

Your plastic surgeon will then make the incision chosen in the early stages of planning your surgery. The three types of incisions possible for gummy bear breast augmentation are inframammary fold, periareolar, and transaxillary. Utilizing the chosen incision, your plastic surgeon will create the breast pocket where your implants will sit.

If you choose the submuscular position, your plastic surgeon will lift the pectoralis muscle partially off the chest, so that it covers the breast implant. If you chose subglandular placement, your plastic surgeon will create the pocket above the chest muscle and just below the breast tissue.

Once the pocket is created, your Bellevue plastic surgeon will insert the breast implants. With gummy bear implants, our surgeons use the “no-touch” method to minimize possible contamination. This technique can lower the chances of capsular contracture and infection. When both gummy bear breast implants are securely in place, your plastic surgeon will stitch the incisions and you will begin to slowly wake up from anesthesia.

Recovery And Aftercare

The first day following your breast augmentation surgery you may experience some side effects and pain. This is normal. Your plastic surgeon will prescribe pain medications and give instructions on how to reduce discomfort. Usually, in about three to four days, many patients begin to feel more like themselves and may feel comfortable to get up and walk more. Some patients with desk jobs may be able to return to work, but this occurs on a case-by-case basis.

By one week, most patients return to work. This is also when most side effects should begin to subside. Light exercise like daily walking and low impact cardio may be possible depending on your healing process. Higher impact workouts should not resume before two weeks, and some exercises may have restrictions for six weeks or more.

As part of your breast augmentation recovery plan, your plastic surgeon may recommend ultrasound massages. Ultrasound assisted lymphatic massages can promote healthy drainage which can reduce swelling and pain. They may also prevent or treat capsular contracture.

Full results usually take around nine months to one year to appear. Your plastic surgeon at Northwest Face & Body will continue to monitor your results during this time. In general, patients return to their full lives (including all forms of exercise) in about twelve weeks. Some may return sooner based on individual healing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are There Different Types Of Gummy Bear Breast Implants?

Gummy bear breast implants come in two main types, or shapes: round and anatomical. The round shaped implant is similar to a traditional breast implant and contains a firmer, cohesive gel. Anatomical gummy bear breast implants are the famous teardrop shape which has more fullness at the bottom, like a natural breast. This shape mimics the look of real breast tissue for extremely natural looking results in most cases.

How Long Does It Take Scars To Fade After Breast Augmentation?

The formation and fading of breast augmentation scars take longer than it will to fully heal. Scars can take up to two years to fully mature and many more to fade. The length of time it takes a scar to fade is also based on age, lifestyle, and health factors.

After an examination, your Kirkland plastic surgeon can better determine what your scars may look like and how they may fade. Since it is an extremely individualized process, your plastic can better evaluate future scarring after an exam.

In surgery, your plastic surgeon will use the smallest and least invasive incision possible. Luckily, with most breast augmentation incisions, they are well hidden in a natural fold or crease of the body.

Are Gummy Bear Implants Safe?

The fifth generation gummy bear implants were FDA approved in 2012. They were used for over a decade outside of the United States before that and have shown a high safety record. Compared to saline and other silicone breast implants, gummy bear implants likely have lower rates of capsular contracture and rupture. In short, yes, gummy bear breast implants are widely considered a safe choice for breast augmentation.

Will I Stay Overnight After Gummy Bear Breast Augmentation?

No, Northwest Face & Body is an outpatient surgery center. This means that patients go home the same day as surgery.

How Much Are Gummy Bear Breast Implants?

Gummy bear implants range in cost based on shape. They also come at a different cost than other breast implant options.
