Ultra Plus : Contains lidocaine for improved comfort and is also used for dramatic lip augmentation. It is also used in the nasolabial folds. Slightly thicker than Ultra, it has a few more uses and sometimes is used in the cheeks or chin. It is versatile and great for volume loss and facial wrinkles. Juvederm Ultra Plus also lasts around six months, though can last longer in some places and individuals.

Voluma : Among the longest lasting hyaluronic acid option, Voluma is typically used in the chin or cheeks. It can last up to two years. Out of all hyaluronic acid fillers, it is often considered the one that lasts the longest.

Description :

Juvederm Bellevue & Kirkland

Dermal filler injections are among the most popular cosmetic procedures in the United States with over a million injections performed every year. Within the dermal filler category, hyaluronic acid fillers are by far the most popular due to their good safety profile and versatility. Two filler manufacturers offer hyaluronic acid fillers–Restylane and Juvederm. Both are about equal in usage and most providers offer both. Northwest Face & Body offers the best Juvederm Bellevue and Kirkland provides.

The Lowdown On Juvederm

Juvederm is a type of cosmetic injectable known as a dermal filler. It is injected for two main purposes: to fill hollows and wrinkles or to augment areas of the face. Primarily used on the face, dermal fillers like Juvederm are among the top non-surgical procedures for anti-aging. With millions of filler injections performed every year, it is an extremely popular and versatile tool for looking younger and achieving your ideal facial aesthetic.

Within facial fillers, some subcategories refer to what the filler is made out of. Juvederm belongs to the largest and most used classification: hyaluronic acid fillers. This means that Juvederm is lower risk than semi-permanent fillers and can treat more places such as the lips.

The master injectors at Northwest Face & Body are masters at using Juvederm to artfully augment and fill in facial features. Northwest Face & Body provides the best Juvederm Bellevue and Kirkland offers.

The Lowdown On Juvederm

Juvederm has many applications across the face. Some of the areas Juvederm can treat include:

Patients can usually treat multiple areas at once. Juvederm also pairs well with neurotoxin treatment such as BOTOX or Dysport. Your master injector will discuss which areas you are a candidate for treatment and the best Juvederm filler for each area.

Advantages Of Hyaluronic Acid Based Fillers

Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in the body, the largest concentrations of which are in the eyes and joints. Therefore, while rejection or allergy to the filler is possible, it is highly unlikely. Another major benefit of hyaluronic acid filler is that they have a natural reversal agent, hyaluronidase.

When injected, it breaks up the filler. If you experience major side effects or complications or end up unhappy with your new look, there is an easy antidote. This also increases the safety of hyaluronic acid fillers when compared with other types of fillers. If occlusion (the injection of filler into a blood vessel) or an adverse event occurs, it can be immediately addressed in the office.

While it may not seem like an advantage at first, the temporary nature of hyaluronic acid fillers allows patients to stop treatments whenever they want, try out various filler options, and try out different looks each time. This experimentation allows patients to find the exactly right filler option and technique for them.

Types Of Juvederm Filler

Juvederm makes a few different fillers that each have a slightly varied consistency and tend to be used in different areas. The main Juvederm offerings are Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, and Juvederm Voluma. Your master injector can discuss each option with you in detail and help determine which is best for the area you are treating and your goals.

  • Ultra: Normally used as a lip filler, Juvederm Ultra can also treat the nasolabial folds. Typically, Ultra is considered among the thinnest of Juvederm's fillers. It lasts on average around three to six months.
  • Ultra Plus: Contains lidocaine for improved comfort and is also used for dramatic lip augmentation.
  • Voluma: Among the longest lasting hyaluronic acid option, Voluma is typically used in the chin or cheeks. It can last up to two years. Out of all hyaluronic acid fillers, it is often considered the one that lasts the longest.

Before & After Juvederm Injections In Bellevue

Consultation

The first step for undergoing Juvederm filler injections in Bellevue is to attend a consultation with a master injector. At this appointment, your master injector will ask you about your goals, medical history, history with fillers, and lifestyle. They may also briefly examine the area to evaluate the skin quality, thickness, and other factors that influence the filler choice and process.

If they believe you are a good candidate for your chosen procedure, they will discuss the many fillers you have to choose from. In some cases, you may undergo filler injections the same day. Otherwise, you can schedule your appointment at your convenience or before leaving the office.

Injection Process

First, your master injector will prep the injection sites. This involves disinfecting the areas with alcohol and cleansing them of any makeup or environmental debris. After this, they will likely apply topical numbing cream. This will sit for around ten to twenty minutes. During this time, your injector will prepare the Juvederm.

Your master injector will then begin the filler injections. Depending on the treatment, they may use a needle or cannula. If using a needle, they will start injections immediately. With a cannula, they will make a small entry point for the cannula using a small needle. After inserting the needle or cannula they will slowly inject the filler. They may move the needle within the injection point or inject at multiple sites to add volume evenly for the ideal results.

For most areas, the injections themselves do not take longer than about ten to fifteen minutes. You can have multiple areas treated at the same time. Along with the topical numbing cream, the Juvederm contains a small amount of lidocaine to help ease the filler as it is injected.

Aftercare

In the days following the injections, you may notice some common side effects such as:

  • Swelling
  • Bruising
  • Redness
  • Discomfort
  • Itchiness
  • Lumps

For the most part, these side effects should clear up in a week or two. For a day or two following Juvederm injections, your master injector may recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and certain blood-thinning medications and supplements.

Your filler will continue to settle for about two weeks. If you still notice lumps, unevenness, or the result does not fit your goals after two weeks, our master injectors can perform a quick touch up.

Oxygen Facial

Oxygen is vital to staying alive. It allows us to breathe and is necessary for every organ to function properly. This is true of the skin. Oxygen supports healthy blood flow to the skin and prevents infections and fungi from taking root. Oxygenated skin will often look plump and have a healthy glow. Aging skin does not harbor enough oxygen which can contribute to duller skin. Oxygen facials take advantage of the current oxygen in your skin and aids in increasing it. The master estheticians at Northwest Face & Body perform the best oxygen facial Bellevue and Kirkland offers.

What Is An Oxygen Facial?

An oxygen facial is a professional facial that sprays highly pressurized oxygen to the skin. This technique is gentle and does not cause any ablation to the skin. The facial can also deliver specialized serums to the skin such as hyaluronic acid and various vitamins and antioxidants.

While the oxygen facial only treats the upper layers of skin in what is often referred to as “superficial” treatments, it promotes collagen growth which naturally oxygenates the skin. The procedure has gained popularity among celebrities and is noted for the glow it provides soon after treatment.

How It Works

In our 20s, the skin naturally processes the oxygen available to our skin. As we age, however, the skin begins to lose its natural ability to preserve oxygen stores and use it normally. The procedure does not place more oxygen into the skin because your skin cannot process outside oxygen. Instead, an oxygen facial’s highly concentrated oxygen stimulates your body’s healing response. This automatically oxygenates the skin.

Unlike other procedures that stimulate a healing response–like RF microneedling–an oxygen facial does so without causing abrasions. They are sometimes used after procedures like a chemical peel to aid in healing and reduce redness.

Benefits

Oxygen facials come with many benefits. As a non-invasive procedure, it is suitable for nearly everyone and can supplement any skincare routine. Some of the benefits and advantages of a Bellevue oxygen facial include:

Oxygen Facial vs. Chemical Peel

Oxygen facials and chemicals peels are two of the most sought after esthetic procedures. The two can complement each other and ultimately serve different purposes. Your master esthetician may recommend both as part of a long term skincare plan.

An oxygen facial is a procedure that removes and infuses. It does not deeply exfoliate or go beyond the upper layers of skin. Even the most superficial chemical peels remove skin and exfoliate under the outer layers.

Additionally, the facial requires no downtime and little aftercare. Patients can apply makeup directly after their oxygen facial and return to daily activities. While it may cause some mild redness, it should not irritate the skin. Conversely, chemical peels cause micro-injuries that may lead to some post-treatment discomfort. The facial is well suited for patients wanting to explore professional skincare for the first and easy to alternate with chemical peel treatments.

To summarize, a chemical peel improves the quality and health of the skin. Conversely, an oxygen facial maintains and enhances overall skin health and appearance.

Oxygen Facial Before And After

Candidates

Nearly anyone is a good candidate for an oxygen facial. It is safe for every skin type, tone, and okay for sensitive skin. The facial also can calm redness and irritation from many skin conditions like rosacea. Since it does not ablate or penetrate the skin, it is an extremely agreeable procedure for most patients.

There are certain situations where your master esthetician may determine you are not a candidate for a Bellevue oxygen facial. The main reason is if you are allergic to anything in the serums. They can discuss the ingredients with you if you have allergy concerns. Your master esthetician can also usually perform the facial without the serums.

Finally, if you need larger correction than the facial can provide, your master esthetician may recommend starting with other procedures. Even so, an oxygen facial can often complement these procedures well and aid in maintaining results.

Treatment

On the day of your Bellevue oxygen facial, your master esthetician will start with cleansing your face. This removes any debris and surface oils present to increase the efficacy of your facial. After thoroughly cleansing, your master esthetician will start the treatment.

Our master estheticians trained with the manufacturers of the oxygen facial to learn the best techniques for application. First, your master esthetician will spread hyaluronic acid and any other chosen serums on your face. Then, they will use the medical grade facial wand to carefully infuse the serums into your skin using pressurized oxygen. The facial is not painful and takes about a half hour to an hour to complete.

Following treatment, your master esthetician may apply products like moisturizers and sunscreen. These protect your skin and further promote a good result. Otherwise, no other aftercare is necessary.

What To Expect

Patients are free to return to their daily activities immediately. An oxygen facial does not usually irritate or cause harm to the skin. You should continue to follow good skin practices like wearing sunscreen daily.

Occasionally, some patients may find their skin is slightly red for a day or so. This should resolve by itself and patients can cover it with makeup. Many patients also experience a natural glow following oxygen facial treatment. This usually lasts for about a week and is one of the major advantages of the facial.

Patients can receive oxygen facials every few weeks. For patients who want to maintain the glow, your master esthetician may recommend a package of facials with one every one to two weeks. After completing this, results usually last for longer and monthly facials often suffice and keep skin well nourished.

Oxygen facials can also be combined with various other procedures and complement their results. Sometimes after a chemical peel or microneedling, the skin may be red. Your master esthetician may perform an oxygen facial a week or two following the procedure to reduce this redness. It can also enhance the results from these treatments.

Pre-Event Skincare With The Oxygen Facial

For years, the oxygen facial has been a favorite pre-red carpet ritual for celebrities. The glow that the facial provides with no alterations in lifestyle and no irritation makes it perfect for obtaining a healthy glow before an event. Our master estheticians often recommend an oxygen facial at least two to three days before an event for the best results.

We also offer a pre-event facial package for patients interested in a more complete pre-event glow up. Our master estheticians cater every treatment to you and your skin goals. This package is perfect for before weddings, vacations, red carpets, or any other plans you may have.
